This Friday and Saturday we're going to try something different with two of our long-running events: The "Kingdoms of Prestige" and" "Reign Supreme" solo leaderboard events. These changes will apply to ALL shards, for all players level 21+
📒 The four main changes to these two events
1️⃣ Global competition
For these 2 events, instead of competing with those on your shard, you will be competing with players on every shard taking part.
2️⃣ Per-level brackets
Instead of brackets grouping multiple Keep levels together, there will be one bracket per level! This means that you are only competing with those players in the game at your exact level, no one above or below you.
3️⃣ Short Form (Blitz!)
Instead of running for 24h, where you need to take and then maintain a lead for an extended period of time to win, these two events will run multiple times in that same 24h period. Each event will run for 2 hours, and then there will be a 1 hour break before it runs again (8 times total in the same 24h period, 16 total for both events over the Friday and Saturday).
Winners will get their prizes when each 2 hour event ends (can collect points earned for 6 hours after each Blitz ends, after which they auto-collect). The leaderboard for each Blitz is also reset.
Meaning, you can pick which part of the day you want to play... and only have to compete for a much shorter periods of time!
4️⃣ Meta event
The prizes in the individual 2 hour Blitz events are points that feed into a solo milestone event which will be running in parallel.
The Blitz events will award:
30 points for 1st place
15 points for 2nd to 10th
5 points for 11th to 20th
1 point for 21st to 30th
You're not competing with others in the meta event, it has 5 solo milestones. The prizes are quite juicy:
5 points -> 🪙 300 Gold
15 points -> 🪙 2,000 Coronets
30 points -> 🪙 5,000 Coronets
50 points -> 📜 1 Divorce Scroll
75 points -> 🪓 Cursebound Icemarrow
That's a 300 Gold, $70 of Coronets (store credit), a Divorce scroll that would otherwise have taken $500 of spend to earn, with a pretty good piece of Noble Equipment on the final milestone that hasn't been sources since it appeared in a Battle Pass in November 2023!
A few examples of paths to glory, to help illustrate the above:
- Place 2nd to 10th in 5 of the 16 events to 100% the milestones.
- Place 11th to 20th in 6 of the 16 events to get all of the Gold and Coronets available.
- Come 1st once and then in the top 10 twice to get everything but the Axe.
